What is Intrepid Protoworks?

 

We are a company which focuses on consulting and prototyping in the area of Human Factors and Ergonomics. Also sometimes called Human Factors Engineering or HFE for short.

 

Human factors is the scientific field which examines how you and I interact with what is around us. It incorporates elements of psychology, engineering, and computer science. It is a field which impacts you everyday but you may have never even heard of!

We look at how websites, games, work spaces, phones, computers, road, cars, planes, boats, and many other things have been designed to interact with us as a living dynamic system. We look at what happens when things go wrong, when they go right, when they go sideways and what that means for people and businesses. Some of he tools we use include eye tracking, heuristic analysis, usability studies, and preexisting research to name a few of what is out there today.
